THIS POST IS BIG…VERY BIG…BUMPER VINTAGE BIG. And unless you like vintage you’re probably not going to be very interested! It’s also pretty late seen as my LA trip was such a long time ago now.
But loving vintage like I do and writing a vintage based blog, I can’t not share all these amazing places with you, so if you ever decide to go to LA or you are already planning a trip, you know where to definitely go in search of some amazing vintage buys, so here goes…..

This place was amazing, and absolutely massive so every kind of vintage from every era was here, the staff are really friendly and there was a huge three dollar bin that myself and all the girls definitely dipped into and we got some amazing pieces, you can see a dress on a previous post HERE. Everything was sorted out and organized really well and they have a no boys allowed policy YES REALLY! so no sneaking off to the changing rooms, you try on there and then, weird for some maybe, but not me, I’m always stripping off, seems I’ve never grown out of it. Compared to some other vintage stores it was a little expensive, not massively over the top but definitely not the cheapest out of the places I visited, but you MUST go just to visit the place!

This place is small and very cute, the decor feels all special and homely, the clothes are a bit hippy dippy for my liking, lots of caftans, maxi dresses and tan accessories but still a lot of beautiful pieces none the less. They also offer a collection of non-vintage shoes and accessories, again a little more expensive than some other places I found.

Right next door to Tanvin is Flounce, again and really gorgeous store, all white and pretty and girly, there were tons of very pretty chiffon and lace dresses and what was nice about this place was the accessories. Really beautifully jewels’ and pearls, shoes and hats, little girly bits and bobs and stunning real silk gloves, I’d absolutely go here if I was looking for something extra special.

HOT MESS:

Another favorite, the lady that worked here was amazing, friendly and helpful as soon as we walked through the door! She took a look at me then over to Eni and just brought us out a range of vintage we would both love, and she got it bang on! She also let us peep in the back though her rails in case she had anything else we would like that wasn’t out yet! The clothes were really up my street, pretty dresses galore, 50’s prints, 70’s maxis and garish 80’s prints, all really affordable, I got an amazing dress from there that I’ll probably wear to a wedding I’m going to this summer. They also have a kid’s vintage range, and a small but perfectly formed café out the back! I loved it here.

VINTAGE WAREHOUSE:

Amazingly affordable!!! I came out of this place with 2 huge bags full of vintage, so heavy I had to go back to the apartment to drop it off just to continue my shopping day! Dresses, tops, jackets, shoes boots, bags, playsuits and jumpsuits, EVERYTHING YOU NEED UNDER ONE ROOF the lady was super helpful and helped me lug around all the clothes I needed to buy, and gave me a discount! The shop itself isn’t much to shout about but the clothes are gorgeous and it was the cheapest vintage place I had the chance to visit while in LA, an absolute must for any nifty vintage thrifter!!

American vintage was probably one of my favorite places and the best thing is, is that they are dotted all-over the place, there was one at the top of our street on Melrose Av and one in Echo Park The vintage here is REALLY AFFORDABLE and they offer everything from every era. What I noticed about both stores was their abundance of SPARKLY STOCK! I love anything that sparkles and came away with 3 different sequined items! The staff just leave you to it and you’re free to browse the isles vintage for as long as you please, there’s also a ton of shoes, boots and bags in these stores (the cowboy boots are something else) along with a huge range of jewellery. Affordable, varied, fun vintage YOU MUST GO TO AMERICAN VINTAGE!
